Non-Discriminatory Policy


It is the goal of Passaic Family Head Start to offer educational and supportive family services to eligible students located within our local service area. Priority is given to eligible students within the city of Passaic. Consideration for out-of-town enrollees will be given only in circumstances in which we are not fully enrolled.
Health Responsibilities of Parents




In order to keep all of our children and staff healthy, please keep your child at home if he/she shows signs of:-
· a runny nose
· a headache
· vomiting
· diarrhea
· a cold or flu
· a fever (in the past 24 hrs.)
· an upset stomach
· a rash
DCPP Policy on the Release of Children
Each child may be released only to the child’s parent/guardian(s) or person(s) authorized by the parent/guardian(s) to take the child from the center and to assume responsibility for the child in an emergency if the parent/guardian(s) cannot be reached. All such requests must be in writing and kept on file.
Confidentiality Policy
This policy was written with the combined efforts of the Head Start Director, the Family Partnerships Manager, and the Passaic Family Head Start Policy Council.

Purpose:- To comply with the federal guidelines in ensuring that the confidentiality of all student and family educational, social service, health and other written and pertinent information is available only to the Head Start Director and staff immediately involved with the family.

Objective:- To promote a healthy staff/parent rapport, while guaranteeing that private and personal information is held in strictest confidence, and to work with the information to assist the child and family in developing to their fullest potential.
